Community Roots Counseling is a community-focused group private practice seeking a Licensed or Associate Therapist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for clinicians who want to do meaningful, relationship-centered therapy in a supportive environment—without the high burnout, productivity pressure, or instability often found in agency settings.
We are open to both part-time and full-time clinicians, depending on availability, interest, and fit.

Position Overview
The Associate or Licensed Therapist will provide outpatient therapy services to individuals, couples, and/or families. Clinicians have flexibility in shaping their caseload based on interests, training, and availability. This position includes support with documentation, consultation, and supervision (for associates).
Therapists may work in-person, via telehealth, or in a hybrid model, depending on preference and client needs.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy within scope of competence
Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation
(AI-assisted progress notes are used to significantly reduce documentation time)Attend weekly clinical supervision (for associate clinicians)
Participate in occasional team consultation or meetings
Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice
Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive team environment
Qualifications
Licensed or Associate clinician registered and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
(AMFT, APCC, ACSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW)Eligible to receive clinical supervision in California (if associate)
Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while valuing consultation and collaboration
Experience or interest in working with children, couples, or families is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive pay: $40–$60/hour (based on licensure and experience)
