hi, I’m latosha!

Life has a way of bringing challenges that can leave even the most capable people feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next. Relationships feel strained, parenting feels overwhelming, or past experiences begin to surface in ways that are hard to ignore. When life starts to feel heavy or confusing, having a place to slow down and talk things through can make a meaningful difference.

My goal in therapy is to create a space where you feel genuinely supported, challenged when needed, and encouraged as you grow. My style is warm and down-to-earth, but also direct. I believe in telling the truth with kindness, holding space for the difficult parts of life, and using humor when it helps bring a little lightness into the room. Life can be heavy—but therapy doesn’t always have to be.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Community Roots Counseling, I started this practice with the belief that healing happens best in community—where people can be honest, supported, and encouraged through every season of life. I use an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic methods to meet each client where they are and tailor the process to their individual needs.

I believe my clients are the key to their own change. My role is to walk alongside you with support, insight, and care as you navigate the work of healing and growth. Whether you’re seeking personal growth, working through past wounds, navigating relationships, or facing parenting challenges, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m honored to walk alongside you in the process.
